Amir Lev is one of the most unique singer-songwriters in Israel. His identifying mark is his deep voice that is often compared with Leonard Cohen’s. He is also well-known for his extraordinary guitar playing.

Amir started writing music at the age of 18. Ten years later, he released his first album, “I Want To See You In My Place”, produced by some of the biggest names in the Israeli music industry (Luee Lahav as producer, Moshe Levi as adapter, and more).

His self-titled second album, released in 1995, is full of incredible guitar playing and powerful songs like “Arie and Ruty”, “Hug me”, “Magic” and more. During the next few years, Lev toured all over the country and gained a very large fan base.

In 1998, after three successful years of touring, Amir released his third album, “Once In A Lifetime”, that was considered by many critics as one of the most prominent rock albums of the nineties.

At the end of 2000, Lev went on a joint tour to the U.S with Eran Zur and Eviatar Banai that received excellent reviews.

In 2004, he released his self-produced album “Sometimes I’m Happy”, which combined minimalist beautiful songs with Lev’s fantastic guitar playing.

Over the years, Amir has been working with some of the biggest musicians in Israel like Shlomo Artzi, Berry Saharof, Dana Berger, Eviatar Banai, Yuval Banai and more. Since he moved from Tel Aviv to the Galilee, he’s been collaborating with some Arab neighbors/friends/musicians. These interesting collaborations gave way to unique songs that combine Lev’s music with an Arabic flair of instruments and voices.

In 2009, after a long wait of five years since his previous album, Amir released his new album “Everything Is Here”. The two first singles from the album became immediate hits on radio stations throughout Israel. The critics praised it as one of Lev’s best albums and the album with the strongest political-social-personal relevance in terms of the day-to-day reality of the people that live in Israel.
