For the past decade, Israel has been struck and amazed by the enormous ingenuity and success of Aviv Geffen, by far Israel’s biggest rock artist, and a major influence on local society as a whole. Beginning as a teen rebel in the early 90’s, Aviv had initially caused several scandals for his provocative quotations, controversial lyrics, looks and image, and unusual attitude towards strict social conventions such as not serving the Israeli military, wearing bizarre make-up and so on.
