Mad Bliss Bio
Mad Bliss; it’s really about the moment of realization of one’s frailty and the warm feeling of dread and beauty that follows; it’s about staring straight up into the sun, forcing in life and hope, even in the most dire circumstances.
This music is the process and the result of forcing life inside us.
Mad Bliss exploded onto the indie alt. scene back when critics will still making a big deal about Britney spears and Limp bizkitt. Paving the way for a new concept in DIY attitude, their first modest offering “Karen’s Molested Apple” EP (2002) earned them immediate results on the national radio charts - a #3 hit.
These days Mad Bliss, recently signed to Oleh! Records to a non-exclusive deal, are planning to hit the road strong at the beginning of 2008, following the release of “Heaven through old eyes” – their debut full length album.
Mad Bliss who have earned the title “one of Israel’s best live shows” are sure to cause some ripples when they hit international stages.
Not totally unlike Wilco, Ocean Size, My Bloody Valentine, Jeff Buckley, Blind Melon, Cranes its always unique to create the scene, not make it. The band is composed of 4 professional musicians; each plays a big role in the band. The sound is like a blend of dream rock, ambient, psychedelic rock and extreme metal.
Maelstrom Magazine said, “There is something magnetizing and passionate about Mad Bliss”
Indie-Music.com said, “Lead singer Tomer Raivit offers a gutsy wail comparable to Chris Cornell over the burning guitar licks”
Big Baer Magazine said, “Immediately recognizable is the same raw emotion, muted intensity and sense of something more, that flavored early Pink Floyd.”
