Maor Cohen was born on May 1974 in the southern city of Sderot. A few years later the family moved to Tel Aviv, which is where he grew up.
He was always multi-talented. He established himself as a singer in the famous rock band (”The Old Men From Tzfat”) when he was in high school. Since then he has had four more bands, and a successful solo career on top of that.
Maor also established himself as an actor- in the theatre, in the movies, and on T.V- he took part on the famous Israeli satire “great country”.

In Aug 1996, after four albums and after they had gathered a big crowed of fans, the group of “Tzfat” decided to break up. Since then, Maor started a solo career and has taken part in many musical, film and theater projects.
In 2005 he released his interesting second debut album, songs of the important French poet, Charles Baudelaire, composed by Maor.
At the end of this year (2008), Maor is planning on releasing an anthology that summarizes his musical carrier as a soloist and as a group member.
