Monica Sex was founded in 1993 and is made up of vocalist and guitarist Yahli Sobol, vocalist and bassist Peter Roth, and drummer Shachar Even Zur. They released their first album titled “Ptzaim Ve’neshikot” (Wounds and Kisses) in 1995, and it became a hit.

The band’s success in Israel led them to move to New York to perform original material in English. The band broke up and got back together to record two more albums: “Yachasim Ptuchim” (Open Relationships) and “Chayot Machmad” (Pets). Each of the members have recorded solo albums as well.

Monica Sex’s music is characterized by its underlying melody and catchy lyrics, which led many of their songs to become radio hits and greatly recognizable in Israeli culture. Their careers sky rocketed when the song “Makka Aphora” was chosen as the theme song of the Israeli cult series Florentin.

Monica Sex live includes songs from all of their albums and materials from each of the band members’ solo careers. The band has a unique melodic-rock sound and performs all of its greatest hits.
