Useless ID Bio
Useless ID started over 10 years ago in Haifa, Israel, and played their first show in a small town near Tel Aviv in January 1995. They released their first LP “room of anger” in 96′, and subsequently boarded a plane to california to play their first show overseas in Gilman Street. This started the ball rolling and Useless ID have played over 50 shows all over the west coast and have been busy ever since touring, recording, promoting and of course, writing and producing new records.
They went on to set up their own record label named after their favorite food: “Falafel records” and later released 2 Useless ID albums on it. The group, The Ataris, good friends of Useless ID liked the second self released album so much that they got their (then) record label “Kung Fu Records” to release it as a split record with The Ataris and that helped to get Useless signed to Kung Fu as well. So far, Useless ID has 3 records out on Kung Fu records.
After releasing their last album for Kung Fu in 2005 (Redemption), Useless ID spent a lot of time on the road and after that, got busy working on the tunes for their next album .
In the meantime, they released their first ever DVD (2006)
In Jan-Feb 2008, Useless entered the awesome blasting Room studios again with Bill Stevenson, (drummer for the Descendents, All, Only Crime, and this other group called Black Flag),and Jason Livermore with the intention of creating the best useless id album we could possibly produce.
The result - our new album, “The Lost Broken Bones” is definitely the one that we feel is our strongest and most enjoyable/dynamic album.
it shows many new sides of our long time musical experience and covers a lot of the more serious issues we ever dealt and had to deal with as a band and individuals.
We will be releasing the album on multiple record labels, for different territories, all of them rock, all of them are GOOD friends of
